Get to Know the Cruise Lines

Choosing among the cruise lines may be mind-baffling at first. The different cruise lines only have minor differences in the packages they offer. But one difference you need to know is that there is a US law that requires some ships to dock at at least one foreign port in a cruise. This means that if you are going on a Hawaiian cruise expect to spend a few days on a foreign port. This could be a port in Fanning Island in Kiribati or Ensenada in Mexico or Vancouver in Canada. If you don’t want to waste your precious vacation time on those side trips then don’t worry because there are three cruise lines that are not mandated to obey this rule and these are NCL’s Pride of Aloha, Pride of America, and Pride of Hawaii. So if you want to go directly to Hawaii be sure to choose these cruise lines. You can book your cruise of choice at my favorite booker, Cruise Direct. Read more »
